How do you all keep an inventory on your devices? What do you use as an asset tag in Jamf? I am looking for a better way to track our devices.

+4I use a unique number for all of my devices. I just started at 1001. I put that number in Jamf School Asset Tag field. I then use the Avery 61526 label, they stick tight and can be removed and placed on a new device if I replace a broken device. Then, I just keep my inventory in a spreadsheet. That allows me some extra cells for notes about that device, along with the current user.

Found a size that works for what I want, put the school logo and name on it, plus a barcode and the asset tag.
Went with 'T' for Technology, so that I could use it for iPads, monitors, desktops, laptops, etc...
They stick extremely well, compared to the labels we used to use which were designed more for books.
I started with T00001, currently up to around T00250
