Just to add to this list. I was having the same problem on the one Mac that I use to Configurator on to setup all of our iPads. I disabled
Collect last backup date/time for managed mobile devices that are synced to computers
in the Management Settings --> Inventory Collection and the problem was resolved.
I had the same solution as @mdfoster
Uncheck "Collect last backup date/time for managed mobile devices that are synced to computers" in Management Settings --> Inventory Collection

Another +1 for "this computer was using configurator to setup iPads" and disabling "Collect last backup date/time for managed mobile devices that are synced to computers" in inventory collection solved the problem. Yeesh! That was a headache. I have unenrolled and re-enrolled this specific machine at least half a dozen times.
