I am putting together some data on iPad breakages in schools.   If you’d be happy to share annual percentage of physically damaged iPads together with the case solution you use and the total number of iPads you have I would be grateful. If you have data by year group even better .   I will share results once I have them collated.

Just to make things easier to respond - here’s a quick online survey

I filled out the survey!

Thanks for filling in the survey - just wondering if you could share which case you were using?

Hello, I wasn’t sure if this is what you meant by year group, it didn’t seem to match your survey, so I may be misunderstanding.

*Note: At the end of the 2020 school year, we dropped our one-to-one model where students in the Middle and Upper Schools took home iPads and switched to Chromebooks (for better or worse). At that time, only Primary School had iPads and two classes. iPads only went home if the grade went home.

**Dropped 4/5th grade iPads

***Dropped 2nd/3rd grade iPads

@Chriswiseman I did specify that in the other column. Maybe it didn’t come through on the survey. We currently have 3 different cases. Brenthaven’s Edge 360 screw down case, Rugged’s case, and MAXCasses Shield Extreme.

Thanks - useful data!   When I said data by year group I meant breaking the data down by grade / age of students - however I realise this would result in a complex survey and at this stage I’m just trying to make collecting some data as simple as possible.  By the responses I’ve had so far, breakage rates of around 10% seem to be the norm no matter what case is used.
