Hey everyone,

I've been working on a side project for a while and figured I'd share it here in case it helps someone else.

At work I kept getting techs asking how to change the same stuff on iPads: groups, asset tags, assigned user, clear passcode, lost mode, wipe, etc. In Jamf that's all spread out over a bunch of different tabs and screens, and it can get overwhelming for some techs, especially the newer ones. So I built a simple web app that puts it all on one page.

What techs can do from it:

  • Search an iPad and see the important info in one place
  • Change department, building/room, assigned user and asset tag
  • Add or remove the iPad from static groups (you can limit which groups they see, like only ones that start with "Tech-")
  • Restart, update inventory, clear passcode
  • Enable/disable Lost Mode
  • Wipe the device, either a full wipe or Wipe with Return to Service. They have to retype the serial to confirm, so nobody wipes the wrong one by accident

How it works:

  • Techs sign in with their own Jamf account (LDAP accounts work too). Everything runs under their own Jamf permissions, so they can only do what you already let them do in Jamf
  • No shared API credentials and nothing gets saved. They type the Jamf server URL, username and password every time, and the session gets cleared on logout or after 15 min idle
  • HTTPS only
  • There's an audit log of who did what and on which device
  • You can run it as a Docker container (just paste the compose file, no building needed) or as a Windows app (we publish ours through Horizon)

It uses the Jamf Pro API, so it should work with any Jamf instance. Nothing in it is tied to my org.

Please reach back with any feedback would really like to push this foward

I get error 404 when browsing to that page.

Is this the link you were trying to post?

Seemed the most likely.
