On the Jamf School dashboard, I can see the 6 most active users.

I’d like to know if there is a way to see who actually uses their iPad. I introduced Jamf School Teacher, Student, Class Assigner, and Apple Classroom this year. I’d just like to see if there is a way for this.

The number 1 teacher has used her iPad 2200 times, the other is 1100, 3rd place is a little over 200. The rest are under. We are a Google district for majority devices.

Thanks!

The Jamf School dashboard is non-editable.

So you’re stuck with:

  • Popular iOS apps
  • Popular iOS versions
  • Popular Device Models
  • VPP registration invitations
  • Most active Jamf School Teacher users
  • Popular Applocks

No way of changing that I’m afraid. :-)

Hi,

Thanks for the reply! What I wanted to check was really just to see how active users are that have iPads assigned to them. Specifically teachers, to see if anyone else is using Jamf Teacher past the top 6 we see in the dashboard.

And to add to the disappointment, as far as I have found, there is no way to create a device Smart Group to do this type of tracking either. The best you can do is track ‘Last Connected’ using a Smart Group.

I haven’t run across any other way to trach device usership or app usership with the tools provided in Jamf School. I also would very much like to have some way to see if the iPads we provide for teachers are actually being used in the classrooms.
