Issue with Shared iPads: Language Change and Disappearing Documents

Hello,

We have two sites using Shared iPads. For no apparent reason, all the iPads switched to English and the saved documents disappeared. The students then changed the language settings, and the documents reappeared.

Have you ever received feedback about this type of behavior?

Just curious - are you using federated accounts or straight up temporary guest sessions?  If the latter, then naturally the profile will remove the files on the profile at log out.  As far as the language, do you have the settings for that locked down or can users change the language?

Yes, this behavior has occasionally been reported on Shared iPads. It can happen when the device temporarily switches user sessions or language/region settings, which may affect how locally saved documents are displayed. In many cases, the documents are not deleted but become visible again once the original language or user profile settings are restored. We recommend ensuring all iPads are updated to the latest iPadOS version and checking Shared iPad and storage settings to help prevent this from recurring.

We have federated accounts. Regarding the time setting, they can change the language, but the entire fleet switched to English at the same time.
