Hello all, is it just me or can Jamf app Installers only be assigned to smart groups?

Hoping this changes as I have several that really do not make sense to make smart groups for since there is not really a common thread between the users. I guess I could make a Smart group that is just members of the static group, but this seems like a redundant approach.

There is a feature request for this:

Provide Full Scoping Capabilities to App Installers

Looks like you're correct. I would search the Feature Requests to see if that has already been submitted, and if not, put it in as an FR:  https://ideas.jamf.com

Best Practice:

Target groups are limited to smart compu ter groups. To use a static computer group, create a smart group with the criteria "'Computer Group' member of 'name of static group'.
