I’d like to get some more information on the recommendation for this setting from Jamf. A dedicated Password was the only option when we initially set this function up. I agree the concept of a randomly generated Password for each account makes sense going forward, but I would like to know if this change is added, whats the impact, and does this affect existing enrolled devices? Any recommendations?
@JamfJake There is no effect on the password for exiting management account passwords unless you run policy with a management account payload to change it. Note that there is no provision to get the randomized account password from the Jamf interface, so it's not something you'll be able to use to log in to a managed machine like you (possibly) could with a static management account.
