My company is looking at purchasing Jamf Pro and hosting on prem, managing approximately 3000ish Macs. Does anyone have a ballpark figure of what it would cost seat per year? Looking at the pricing on their website it looks like they are giving figures for cloud hosting and no volume discount.

I think the best thing would be to contact Jamf Customer Support and get them to give you a quote.

You will pay about $80-90 per device per year, but will also have to pay a few thousand to setup the server.

To my knowledge, there's no 'cloud surcharge' so unless you've got a good reason for wanting it to be on-prem, I'd take advantage of the maintenance-free aspect of Jamf Cloud.

Bear in mind that, while now optional, a JumpStart is massively beneficial to get the most out of Jamf Pro. If you purchase from a Jamf Partner, you may be able to get their own version of that at a reduced price.
