Unfortunately, we’re unable to start Jamf Remote Assist. We’ve already tried reinstalling the application and have granted the required permissions in iOS. However, we keep receiving an error message saying that the connection cannot be established.

Hi david.weiss,

For iOS devices, Jamf Remote Assist requires a few specific conditions to work properly:

  1. Supervised devices only - Remote Assist for iOS only works on supervised devices. If your devices aren't supervised, this feature won't be available.
  2. Jamf Pro settings - Make sure Remote Assist is enabled in Settings > Jamf Remote Assist within your Jamf Pro console.
  3. Network considerations - Both the admin initiating the session and the iOS device need to be able to reach Jamf's cloud relay services. Check if any firewall or proxy might be blocking the connection.
  4. iOS version - Ensure the devices are running a supported iOS version for Remote Assist.

Could you confirm whether the iOS devices are supervised? Also, what's the exact error message you're seeing? That would help narrow down the issue.

If the problem persists, I'd suggest opening a support case with Jamf - they can check your instance configuration on the backend.
