I usually test these things from another mac using the credentials to make sure the share is working correctly. Have you tried that?
What are you using to do the sync from JCDS?
Looks like JAMF doesn't fully support the Sync side project. I was told that we would need to report a Product issue in Github, https://github.com/jamf/JamfSync/issues Seems like the last few versions of the app have had the same problems with SMB mounting/permissions as well as recognizing zip files for upload.

JamfSync from GitHub. We're syncing from JCDS to on-prem servers because we have several apps that our network team claims eating up a lot bandwidth.

Jamf Sync is still buggy. That's pretty cheeky to release an essential part of the product on github, so they can forward all the complaints...👎👎👎.
