Hello All,

So I work for a college with a large distribution of apple TV's managed by JAMF. We're looking to stream an event through YouTube and would like to push it to the TV's. We have the YouTube app installed, but is there a way to configure the app through JAMF to automatically go to a particular channel or YouTube URL? This way the tech's don't have to go around the entire campus with fiddly Apple remotes to pull up the stream.

Thanks,

The Apple TV MDM commands does not seem to have much for Safari/Youtube:

Have you considered making a custom app fit for purpose, or single app mode?

The likes of Monscierge might have something more as they do more with the interface of Apple TV.

As far as I am aware, you have to use googles admin console to manage the YouTube settings for the users. I don't think google offers a management domain for the YouTube app on tvOS or iOS. Though finding anything on this is kind of hard as searching YouTube pulls up all kinds of unrelated garbage.

I think you might need a Digital Signage product. Something like this.
