Logic Pro 12.3 - block sound library?

Morning,

I’ve recently upgraded our Logic Pro from version 11.2.2 to 12.3

I’m concerned about our students downloading additional sounds/loops via the sound library (and filling up the hard drive) as it seems they can now download sounds without an admin password

Has anyone got anything setup that will prevent users from either being able to open the sound library or prevent users from downloading sounds?

Thanks

I dont block them from getting sounds, I don’t think that is possible as the downloaded sounds are in their own user space.
I do, download the essential sounds to a central folder, I put them in Users/Shared.
I informed teaching staff of this location and how to point their students to use it.
Students and staff once pointing to the Shared version can download more if they want to, and these extra sounds are available to all - the joy of using the Shared folder, its permissions are great.
I then have a script that runs at login, for All Users everytime. It locates the Sound library in the Users home folder and deletes it. They soon learn. I did have to run this step by Management and inform all staff of it.

I have a bit more detailed explanation here...
