What errors are you getting?
what version of macos are you upgrading from and too?
is it intel or apple silicone?
Also is you doing a major update it will normally only work with the software update command that updates immediately without a deferral. You cant use the option to allow the user to install later or a deferral.

it's different kind of error, it say this update can not be install on this device, various versions, 11and 12, but Monterey mostly
Is that the exact wording from the install logs on the machine? And just confirming you have checked the hardware your using is compatible with Sonoma:

I've seen it worded slightly different in logs before when the bridge firmware isn't on the machine (normally needs the minor version updated before hand). Also if the hardware has been dropped it says something similar, but not just what you have put.
