Looking at setting up single app mode for a Mac and it is failing (The “Assessment Mode” payload contains an improperly formatted key: “AllowedApplications”.)

The one thing I know I'm missing is the Team identifier for the app. My test app, Chess, doesn't have it.

I'm using com.Apple.Chess as the bundle identifier.

I can only guess as to what is actually breaking it.

Hi JustinN,

Did you find the solution?  Keynote is the app I need to set as Single App Mode.  Would you like to share what you currently have set up?

Thanks,

@JustinN & @olimpia

Here are the steps in Jamf Pro Settings :
1. Computers > Create Configuration Profile.
2. Add Restrictions > Applications >

check ✓ "Restrict which apps are allowed to launch" at the bottom

3. Allow Apps:
         The user can always launch these
@JustinN Add > Chess app

@olimpia Add > Keynote app in "Allow Folders:"
before that, you have to create an "AllowApps" folder, Move Keynote into the AllowApps Folder
(you can add other apps into the Folder, which you want to allow)
Path: /Applications/AllowApps

4. Add Scope > Target Device.
5. Save.
