Microsoft's Lync Deployment Guide offers an EnableAppearOffline key but we haven't been able to get it to work. Anyone using this key? I wonder if Lync server side enforced settings might be forcing this key to be disabled? Wanted to check here before kicking this up the ladder.

I tried adding this key to /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/ByHost/MicrosoftLyncRegistrationDB.XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX.plist as recommended by Microsoft (yes, even though this is for Lync) and doing a killall cfprefsd but it didn't work:

    <key>hkey_local_machinesoftwarepoliciesmicrosoftcommunicatorEnableAppearOffline</key>

    <integer>1</integer>

PS, yea, we know...Skype For Business is in testing...might be a while before we get our grubby mitts on it. :)
