Q: Does each customer or organization need their own copy of the VL Serializer?
A: No. There's a single VL Serializer package that contains a single key that's shared between all VL customer installations.
:)
Simon.
Thanks!
Other Question: Can I grab the the latest release of the O365/Retail version or should It be exactly this version: http://macadmins.software?
If you use the Office installer package from the VLSC, you don't need to use the VL Serializer. The Serializer is already part of that package.
However, the VLSC may be a few months behind the currently available version of Office, which means you'd need to apply the latest update to get it fully up-to-date.
You can use the latest Office 365 installer from http://macadmins.software along with the VL Serializer to install a fully up-to-date and licensed version of Office all at once. Make sure you're using VL Serializer 2.0 or later.
@talkingmoose Thanks, much appreciated!
Stupid question, but does anyone have a direct link to the Serializer? I had it with an older copy of the 2016 suite (v 15.17 maybe?) but after a crashed computer logging into he MSFT VLSC site only presents Office Online?

@talkingmoose have you seen that?
@easyedc, you won't find it available outside the VLSC. It it were generally available, no one would have a need to buy Office for Mac.
Your screenshot looks correct. You're about to download an ISO file, which is expected. Not sure about the size. The Serializer is a second installer package in the Office for Mac download.
I remember seeing the 2 packages last time I downloaded it. This download is full of windows exe's. Nothing macOS in it.
I'll find our TAM and see what he can do.
Someone just had a case of the Mondays... Going back in this after my TAM replied, the drop down under 64bit offered the Mac Package. I thought I'd read that 2016 was rebuilt as 64bit and just naturally assumed that was the installer I needed.
