I have this specific need to keep the Google Drive app version to 77.0 but it keeps updating to version 110.0 (latest).
I’ve already removed the device from the Smart CG linked to the GDrive app on the Application section but it still automatically updating.
Is there something I can do to solve the issue?

Have you checked to see if Google Drive has Auto Update configured? That would come from the appside not Jamf, and its up to google on if you can disable it or not. 

 

The Vulnerabilities and system compatibilities make this a big concern, you dont want to version control this far out of date.

To prevent Google Drive from auto-updating to version 110.0 (or any newer version), while keeping it at version 77.0, you’ll need to take control of how app updates are managed on your device. It sounds like you're managing devices in an enterprise or managed environment (perhaps via Google Workspace or MDM).

I would consider removing the update permissions and possible adding a restricted software rule for extra measure.
May be killing the process while getting update ‘GoogleSoftwareUpdate.bundle’.

Note: At times leads to an issue of syncing or not functioning properly in case Google Drive is out of date.
