So we using Jamf School and it works great most of the time. We use Jamf Teacher and Apple Classroom in our schools, teachers use Macbook Air and the students Ipad gen 9.

Now I have one colleague with a problem I havent seen before. Everything works fine with Jamf Teacher, classes, groups, add apps, lesson templates no problem. But Apple classroom dosen´t works at all. No classes showing at start screen, only the option to create classes manually.

Anyone seen this problem?

What OSes are they on? There was a bug in the early iPadOS 18.x that was causing issues with the Classroom app. It was supposedly fixed in iPadOS 18.7.1 and 26.1. I don’t know for sure if the issue was only iPadOS or if it also involved MacOS (we only have iPads).

@MarkusSwe Are the classes in Apple Classroom getting fed from ASM or Jamf School? We’ve seen issues on both sides. If they are from Jamf School, I’d make sure the EDU profile is on the Mac. If they are from ASM, I’d have the teacher sign out of their Apple ID and back in. Also make sure they are using their Managed Apple ID.

Kim reminded me. We also had to sign out and sign back in to all the effected iPads. Which with our Student Managed Accounts being locked down, was a pain.

You need to create a teacher account in ASM, if already is there, that name has to match with the jamf account user. If it does not match then classes will not be populated directly.
