Hello,

I am new to using Jamf and Patch Management. I have installed Microsoft office, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel using a policy and Patches from Microsofts website and are already installed on Machines. Now these office applications are available in the Mac App store and VPP when I force Jamf to update the office apps will it update the applications that were installed as packages (PKG's) or will I have to remove the packages and then install the Office updates from the app store?

These are two different products. Just like OneDrive App Store version and OneDrive Standalone (pkg). I would either draw a line and all new Macs get the App Store version and slowly replace or you could do a remove and replace all installs. Either one will have pros and cons. Once you deploy app App Store apps they will auto update from Apple.
