Hi,

We have an on premise Jamf distribution point. It appears to have MySQL and Java installed. I don't believe these components are necessary for a distribution point but have been struggling to find a definitive answer. Does anyone know if I can just uninstall these without affecting the DP

Many thanks

The distribution point should not have anything installed on it. It really just needs to be a file share with 4 directories, Casper Data, CompliedConfigurations, Packages, and Scripts. Maybe at one point in time your Jamf database was hosted on that server as well.

DP is just SMB / HTTP share..  No need for MySQL or Java..

Unless your server that has Jamf installed, is also used for the DP as well.
