Password Expiration Date Incorrect

Hello everyone!

On every mac using JC3 / SS+, the “Local Account Password Expires” counter never shows a correct days number, no matter what I try.

-Kerberos is valid.
-Signed out and back into SS+.
-Changing the PW using the integrated workflow WILL change the password, but the counter never changes. The new PW will be accepted with SS+ and JC.
-New-to-that-computer users who login will show a seemingly “random” date that does not match the idP

Thanks for any help y’all have!

PS: Sorry if this is a common fix, I searched all sorts of threads but didn’t find anything that helped.

I had this problem yesterday, and was also doing some investigating, but it is now working on all my devices that were affected.

Is yours working now too?

I did not make any changes, but some of the devices likely rebooted between yesterday and today.

No, everything is still wonky here.

When our users have Private Relay enabled we noticed the counts don’t reflect the proper number of days or reset when a password is reset.

Private Relay is on by default for users using a paid iCloud+ Tier.

Interesting with the Private Relay - I’ll have to look into that.

It is happening to I'd guess probably 500 machines, including about 150 lab systems which disallow iCloud. (I have personally seen it on… 40 or 50 systems, but they are all the same software so 500 is the machine count of all systems using SS+ total).

I am still goofing around with it; I’ll report back when I figure anything out.
