Question

Privileges (SAP) - Redirecting stdout for "PrivilegesCLI --status" command to a file is empty

Forum|alt.badge.img+10

Hello All,

Running the following command:

/Applications/Privileges/Contents/Resources/PrivilegesCLI --status > /private/tmp/status.txt

creates the file named status.txt but it is empty (stdout is not redirecting to the file)

I was wondering if someone that has Privileges and or those that would be willing to install it on a machine and try the command can get it to work?  I've tested this on Big Sur, Monterey, and Ventura all with the same result.

For what it's worth, I've tested the command

ls -al > /private/tmp/filename.txt

and it works with no issue.  It's as if the PrivilegesCLI binary is missing something to be able to redirect the stdout to a file.
