Recently we set up a solution that deploys certificates (ADCS Connector) that automatically connects the device to a specific Wi-Fi, without the need to enter a username and password.
It works great. But now we have encountered a problem, if someone chooses to forget the network for some reason, it is not possible to reconnect. The connection is not automatically re-established, if you choose to connect to the SSID in question, you are asked to enter a username and password.
Does anyone know what to do, if there is a simple or good solution to the problem?

It sounds like a frustrating issue! One potential solution is to use AP mode or WPS to reconnect the device. If that doesn't work, you might need to reset the device and set it up again.

Yes, same payload. But I found out something when digging in the problem. The SSID doesn't get a Forget network (only connect automatically with on and off). On my Phone it works as it should when switching to another SSID, when I forget the other it reconnects to the one with the certificate.
I solved the problem for now by redeploying the payload for the device.

Weird, for my pushed profile with certificate and Network Wi-Fi payload the Forget This Network option is disabled. Are you pushing your profile, or making it available in Self Service?

To resolve the issue, ensure that your device re-associates the correct certificate with the Wi-Fi profile once the network is forgotten. You can achieve this by pushing a reconfigured Wi-Fi profile through your MDM, Group Policy, or automation scripts. Additionally, check the certificate's validity and ensure it is correctly linked to the network settings. If using Windows or an MDM solution, you may also automate the profile creation to ensure that when a network is forgotten, the appropriate credentials (certificate) are re-applied seamlessly.
