has anybody currently been successful in uninstalling palo alto traps 6.x to prepare for installation of Cortex (Traps) 7.x?

Trying to find a way to hit all of my now remote clients with older version which i understand is going end of life soon.

any help would be appreciated!

Hi fsteffy, as a test I managed to upgrade the agent of one client straight from Cortex.
It didn't involve Jamf at all. In Cortex webinterface I went to Endpoints > Endpoint management > Endpoint administration.
Then I right clicked on and endpoint > Endpoint control > upgrade agent version.
I am sure you should be able to do this for many endpoints simultaneously.
Also make sure to check out Palo Alto documentation for Jamf and Cortex. It's getting better.

https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/cortex/cortex-xdr/7-1/cortex-xdr-agent-admin/cortex-xdr-agent-for-mac.html

Hope this helps.

Milton

@fsteffy check some conversations here: https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/24134/deploying-palo-alto-traps

Palo Alto recommend doing the v6 to v7 from Jamf, due to new requirements to have proper PPPC and system extensions in place before you upgrade. As Milton linked above, this should cover what you need in your Jamf setup.
