Add the printer in Jamf Pro, then use printer policy to unmap it from all device

At one point we did have a policy to deploy printers but since we switched over to canon secure print we got rid of it. 

so would I need to re-add the printer in Jamf pro then unmap the printers using a policy?

would it be possible to explain more on how to unmap the printers using a policy please  

If the printer was mapped by Jamf, then Jamf has the data necessary to create the script to remove it. If the printer was added to Jamf with Jamf Admin (now retired) or Jamf Printer Manager (I think that is what its called), this basically just automatically adds the scripting to Jamf to Map and Unmap the printer. If the printer was not deployed by Jamf, you cannot use this automation to remove the printer.

Scripting is the solution if Jamf did not map the printer, thankfully this scripting should not be too bad if you have a naming convention for your printers or something else you can target like drivers to identify the printers to remove. Else just remove all primers and remap whatever you want at the end.

As @AJPinto mentioned, you can use script to remove it, if you find difficult in script add the printer to Jamf Pro from device where the printer is already configured then use poilicy to unmap it.
