Hi,

I am trying to replicate a smb distribution point using jamf admin, but whenever it's trying to mount the share it adds http to the path. Is that expected / am I missing something? It also adds the share name at the end twice, which doesn't make sense to me? So it's trying to connect to:

smb://http://sharename.domain.com/jamf/jamf

but the address should be:

smb://sharename.domain.com/jamf/ - at least that's how I can connect manually

Or does jamf admin use some other way to connect I'm not aware of?

Thanks,

Georg

Nevermind, found it. The distribution url on jamf pro was wrong.

Hello @georgbhm,

I am just reaching out to be sure you are aware of the upcoming Jamf Admin deprecation in Jamf Pro 11.4.

Jamf is in the final stages of offering alternative solutions. Jamf will update the deprecations and removals page of the release notes with a link as soon as these alternative solutions are published.

Thanks,

Thank you, Martin! I'm aware and looking forward to it!

Hi Martin,

Is there a way to replicate local distribution points currently?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi @SAENA, have you checked out Jamf Sync? https://trusted.jamf.com/concepts/docs/jamf-sync This has local distribution point replication functions.
