I understand that it’s expected behavior, but when using the “Preserved Apps” option with the Return To Service feature, OS updates can’t be installed.

Has anyone found a way to work around this limitation?

With or without preserved apps, using RtS will not force the minimum OS requirements you have set at all (by design).

Apply updates to a running device using DDU (e.g.: Blueprints) and use RtS whenever you need to.

That’s the best flow to use.  Working around a problem usually will cause more issues - especially if that’s not how the product was designed.

Does DDU blueprint updates work on iPads that were enrolled with App Preservation flag enabled on their ADE profile? I’m getting mixed info on this as well.
