Does anyone know if it's possible to hide the address bar when using Safari in single app mode, and if so, how?

Guided access apparently offers this, but we're looking to get away from using that if possible.

I want to do this as well. I have single app mode all set up with safari locking into the URL I want to use, I just need to hide the address bar.

@jdaley @ooshnoo - While there’s no way to hide the address bar in safari while in Single App Mode, one method to achieve the same experience is to use a “kiosk” style app that can present only the webpage, then lock that app into SAM.

Check the Jamf Marketplace for apps like this:

Thank you, I settled for the free version of Kiosk+

However, I'm reading now about the Managed ViewiOS app for displaying Web View or PDF based on central managed URL. this looks promising, I may give it a shot if Kiosk+ doesn't work out.

Managed View - Is it a separate Browser app? Do I set Managed View as the Single-app Mode app? I have been testing and am a bit confused.

We want to be able to use a specific browser due to site requirements and be able to hide the URL address bar. Safari is not Autonomous Single App Mode compatible.
