A staff member recently received a ScanSnap iX1500. They took it out of the box so I don't have any of the original documentation or if any software came with it. I'm looking online and see a few pieces of software that could be installed but before reinventing the wheel in trying to put it into an automated installation workflow I thought I'd see if someone has already set something like this up through Jamf.
Any info would be appreciated.

that's the way I resolved that:
- download the software http://scansnap.fujitsu.com/global/dl/
- install the software on own Mac
- put ScanSnapp.app from Applications folder into Composer
- besides ScanSnapp.app there is also a folder "ScanSnapp Online update.localized" in /Applications. Put this one in Composer in the package for ScanSnapp, too.
- set rights for the Application in Composer
- create .dmg package , load it up and use it 🙂
