We are in the process of creating a configuration profile for Google Chrome Bookmarks. We are looking to apply this only to newly enrolled devices as we do not wish to make the change org wide on our pre existing users. One thing we though of was creating a static group with all computers as of right now but we are concerned with the manual work that will come from having to redeploy current machines that would be in that static group. Plus it seems a little janky in general.

You can create a Smart Group with the criteria Last Enrollment After $date and scope the profile to that group

My recommendation would be to use the Less than X days ago operator instead of after date, as you will not have to return and change the date each time. This allows us to always know which devices are freshly enrolled & apply specific policies and profiles needed easily.
