The criteria Postion in the User and Location for iPad users was removed. Not all user... Any ideas why?  I can’t find that anything was changed in Jamf.

@ameeth Are you saying the field was populated and is now empty or the field is missing entirely?

Thank you for your reply!

The field is empty. We manually enter the grad year for students as them come in. I use Position in a Smart Group to determine which Apps are pushed. Yesterday, a little less than half of the students were missing the Position criteria.

We do use a Tech service for HelpDesk, so it may be something they changed. However, looking at the logs - I can’t see any major changes. Is there a way to see if that field was changed in some way by a config profile?

I’m not aware of a way to modify that field with a config profile. If you look at the device record of one of the affected iPads, do you see any changes Under History > User and Location History? Also are any LDAP servers integrated with your Jamf Instance. If there are, I’d check the mappings to make sure a new mapping didn’t get specified for the Position field.

The is no History.  It is a field that we manually enter. And it’s weird that not all users were impacted. Although Jamf is connected to ASM - grad year is not populated to Position.

Is there a way to see who did what when in Jamf logs?

You could look at the Change Management log.

I have looked at the Change management log and the only thing is object type: VPP invitation Usage created… every few minutes, and a few entries that I know I changed…

I just don’t want it to happen again.

Maybe I need to find a field in PS that can flow into ASM and then Jamf for Grad year ...

I recommend opening a ticket with Jamf to see if they know why the field changed.
