Hi All,

 

Does anyone know how to create uninstall button in self service for an application?

There are a couple of ways to accomplish this. If your installer is a script installer, then put detection methods in it to see if it’s installed and if so, remove it (and rename the reinstall button to uninstall in JAMF). Another way would be smart group magic and have an installer show for devices that don’t have the app (hidden if installed) and an uninstalled visible for those who have the app installed (hidden for those who don’t have it installed).

You have to make an uninstall policy with a payload to remove the application you want to remove, and change the install text to uninstall. Some applications provide the scripts to uninstall their files, others you have to make the script yourself.
