Hi,

Our company WiFi uses user network creds to join, but the window that pops up for this has a certificate dropdown box (with several items available).  The users get confused and start trying these.   Is there a way to remove this box for at least this one SSID?

Thanks in advance,

    -Pat

Sounds like you need to deploy the root certificate for that RADIUS server...the issue is that since it’s user based wifi, it probably has it in the leaf certificate (user affinity) meaning that the user has to approve it and then it sends back who is connecting to that 802.1x approver.

Long story short, but you need to move to SCEP/MPKI, or ACME, or something else and do device based certificate auth for wifi and push it directly - then there’s no need to worry about the users having to manually connect to 802.1x wifi.

More details on the Configuration Profile would be helpful.

Do you use a SCEP Proxy in the settings of the WiFi configuration?

We had similar issues in the past where the Profile was pushed automatically,

after switching to installation via Self Service,

the issue is gone.
