Update 06 August 2025: Standard Cloud upgrades are scheduled for the weekend of 15-16 August (details below). We appreciate your patience with the revised schedule.

Today we are releasing Jamf Pro 11.19; highlights include:

  • Impact Alert Notifications for Scopeable Objects
These notifications provide enhanced visibility and control when modifying group configurations. This feature helps prevent unintended large-scale changes by giving administrators insight into how their modifications will affect devices and existing group configurations across their organization.

  • Automatic Redistribution of ACME Certificates
You can configure Jamf Pro to automatically redistribute ACME certificates to computers and mobile devices at a specified number of days before the certificates expire. To support this function, a $PROFILE_IDENTIFIER is automatically inserted into the Subject of the issued certificate as an organizational unit (OU). Note: Your ACME certificate authority template must also support the inclusion of an OU value to use this functionality.

  • Streamlined Login for OIDC-Based SSO Through Jamf Account
A Direct IdP login URL field has been added to the single sign-on settings in Jamf Pro for environments integrated with OIDC-based single sign-on through Jamf Account. This field displays a URL that allows you to navigate directly to the identity provider login page for Jamf Pro instead of having to first enter an email address and be redirected. You can add this URL to your bookmarks for a more streamlined login process.

For additional information on what's included in this release, review the release notes via the Jamf Learning Hub.

Great quality of life improvements right here. 👌🏻

The issue with deploying SS+ is if you have macOS Onboarding enabled, will SS+ honor the “macosOnboarding Completed” preference value from SS-classic and not enable the onboarding items again for the user, or does something else need to happen before enabling SS+ when macOS Onboarding has been enabled already? Please advise, thanks.

Correct, SSP should skip onboarding for the user if they have already gone though it on Self Service Classic.

Dear

Why aren’t upgrade delays announced as widely as the initial upgrade announcements are? Someone please, PLEASE, get Jamf to use their communications channels consistently.

Agreed! I logged in expecting to be able to send out our new direct SSO login links to the rest of the crew, and saw that we weren’t upgraded. Had to poke around here to find the upgrade schedule and find that it was delayed generally. It’s a busy time of year in EDU! A little notification goes a long way.
