Today we are releasing a maintenance version of Jamf Pro; highlights include:
Improvements to Enhanced Log Collection
The following improvements have been made to TriggerEnhancedLogCollection and related functionality:*
- Details for the
TriggerEnhancedLogCollectioncommand are now included in the Jamf Pro API. - A
CancelEnhancedLogCollectioncommand has been added to the Jamf Pro API. When triggered, active log collection processes are stopped on the target device and logs are not sent to Apple. See the following developer documentation from Apple for more information: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/cancel-enhanced-log-collection-command. - Two new dedicated privileges, "Trigger Enhanced Log Collection" and "Cancel Enhanced Log Collection", have been added to Jamf Pro for their respective functionalities.
*Feature support is based on testing with the latest Apple beta releases.
Resolved Issues
Jamf Pro Server
- [PI-33] Fixed: Jamf Pro incorrectly attempts to reinstall a large book (e.g., 1 GB or more) on a device if the book does not install before Jamf Pro issues the
ManagedMediaListcommand. - [PI-1361] Fixed: MDM commands that rely on the
AppCompatabilityServiceattribute have improper permissions and fail to send. - [PI-1370] Fixed: Jamf Pro fails to delete signed macOS configuration profiles from the web application.
- [PI-1379, PI-187440] Fixed: An issue with the Jamf Pro web application prevents site-scoped static or smart groups using the Computer Group criteria from being updated or saved.
- [PI-1384] Fixed: The Jamf Pro web application may time out when saving updates to smart groups.
- [PI-1396] Fixed: During Jamf Pro startup, a race condition is possible that causes all files in the Jamf Cloud Distribution Point to be permanently deleted.
