Double Feature Meetup with Tim Perfitt and Sean Rabbitt
Double Feature Meeting Hello everyone. Bring your food and beverages and sit down in your most comfortable chair. This month is going to be a double feature presentation. For starters, we will have Tim Perfitt from Twocanoes Software. He will present what is new with XCreds. Log into your Mac with your Cloud Password and other changes. Create a New Account. Not a problem with a new Mac. XCreds will provision a new user account, home directory and everything needed for first login, WIFI selection and much more. Our next presenter, Sean Rabbitt from Jamf will be presenting on the latest and greatest in: "Managing macOS local user accounts" - Did you know that there are at least four different ways to change your local account password? We'll discuss useful commands that you as an administrator need in your tool belt for handling local macOS user accounts, discuss the basics of managing local user accounts with centralized cloud identity providers with tools like Jamf Connect and others, and then an overview of what is coming (someday....) when cloud identity providers support Platform Single Sign On. Please RSVP and we’ll send the meeting link out the afternoon of the meetup.

Howdy gang! Now that JNUC 2023 has wrapped and we're all hopefully safely home, rested, and recovered from any Con Crud we may have brought back with us, let's get together to sort through all that Knowledge we also brought back. Any presentations that stood out to you? Any new (or new-to-you) workflows you're excited to implement? Any of the announcements from Jamf for what to expect in the coming months that have you all aflutter? Just want to wax rhapsodic about a BBQ place you discovered in Austin? It's all fair game! Couldn't make JNUC this year either in person or virtually? That's okay! You're welcome to come for some Knowledge from the community! There's also a chance Mark may get a speaker lined up for us and if so, we'll let them go first before we get too deep into JNUC talk. Please RSVP and we'll send the meeting link out Thursday afternoon via messages here on JamfNation.
