Question

Can't create QuickAdd Pkg

Hi All,
Wanted to update my Quickadd package after the 8.1 update, but I'm getting this error, any ideas? I was able to create it on 8.0 under the same user without issues…

Thanks,

Are you logged in with an AD-based account?

I got this as well. Logged in with a local admin-class account and it was fine.

Casper 8.0 will auto update the binary when checking into the server. So technically you should be able to keep your 8.0 and it will auto
update to 8.1 if found on your server.

The error seems to be generated from having a longer user ID on the account.

E.g. From a directory service.

+1

Make sure the account in the quickadd (if you're creating one) is a local account too. I.e not a directory account.

Regards,

Ben.

Okay, thanks all. I am AD bound, will try from the local account.

Thanks!

Just tried this with the 8.2.1 version of Recon and it still fails on a domain account.
