+10There's multiple discussions on JAMF Nation and outside on how to do this, but I can't seem to figure out if it's possible through JSS itself in 8.63 without having to write a custom mobileconfig file
I can see the option for "Use as a Login Window configuration" and "Use Directory Authentication" but I never see the option. I'm also having weird issues not being able to edit the XML that's being spit out from the mobileconfig files that are generated from JSS.
Thoughts?
+17Personally, I don't use Casper to deploy configuration profiles directly. I create them on OS X Server and modify them by hand or script where needed and install via script (usually as a postflight script in a pkg for easy deployment).
I usually embed the XML into a script which gets echo'd to a temp file from the postflight script, so no payload is required. Run the script and you're done.
I don't really see the benefit of having the JSS create or manage mobileconfig files for OS X. Like you mentioned, I like having the control of editing the XML myself, and profiles are very simple to deploy via a pkg.
