I'm attempting to upgrade our JSS server (OSX 10.8.4, currently JSS 8.71) to JSS 9.01, and I'm getting an error early in the JSS install process telling me that the Java JCE unlimited strength jurisdiction policy files are not installed. I verified that the files were already present in the specified location, and then manually downloaded them from Oracle and copied them to the specified folder, and it's still giving me the error when I attempt JSS installation. I also tried reinstalling JRE. Any ideas?

Make sure you use the openjdk installer, and not another installer..we've seen this issue that way. (JRE, OpenJDK, SE, etc)

Also make sure java 1.6 is installed.

On a related note, I've seen this on RedHat 6 systems, where openjdk 1.6 and 1.7 are installed concurrently...
