Our objective is to have a single VMWare 4 virtual machine file of Lion, with all our security requirements baked in, deployed to our users via Self Service. The problem is that when there are multiple copies of this VM running on different systems, they all look like the same system to the JSS. We really need to manage them individually in the JSS. For instance, we need to be able to track what policies have been applied to each virtual machine just like we do for a physical system.
Has anyone tackled this problem already? Any words of wisdom?
