Just curious how some of the rest of you who manage larger environments deal with making changes across numerous configuration items within the JSS. For example if you needed to rename a large number (>10) buildings or a vast number of departments due to a restructuring. Or if you needed to, say, enable the override for your network segments for buildings/departments. I found a nice script for loading all these things at http://bashscripts.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1330 that I modified to load my network segments from my org's other CMDB and also modded it to do my buildings and departments and could do other things through the JSS API, but it's best suited to initially loading values. I'm trying to figure out how to parse the XML downloaded from the JSS and make the group changes across a number of items. Getting it down/up is the easy part. Maybe I'm approaching this the wrong way?
