We are just starting to roll out iOS devices and I am hitting a roadblock. I followed the instructions in the QuickStart guide, but when trying to enroll my test device, I get an error when trying to install the MDM profile. The error is that the certificate for server/SCEP profile/invitation is invalid.
While trying to research this, I downloaded the whitepaper from JAMF, and it talks about creating an app ID, which I did not do. Is this what is causing this error?
Also, I am a member of the University Developer program, NOT the enterprise. Does it have to be enterprise for this to work?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Amoreena

I'm trying real hard too.
We are in the enterprise program (which I've heard is an requisite) but still, after making an AppID, the Apple documentation is not correct, and I can get no further, so I have no Push Certificate, and cannot proceed. :-(
I've been too swamped with other things to do, but I will look into this more closely over the next few weeks.

There is a blurb about this in the just published JAMF Nation.

Thanks Craig for pointing that out.
I also want to encourage everyone to contact their JAMF account manager as well if you are running into any issues.

Yes, well, the documentation at Jamf is actually better and more correct than Apples. Still though, I have no "configure" link and so, cannot continue.
I'm certain we applied for the enterprise program and nothing else.

You have to follow the steps on creating a APN cert. I admit it took me about an hour of fiddling around their really vague steps on how to create this. Then the account admin has to approve the APN. I have two certs sitting awaiting approval....
The Apple red tape is rather annoying, but I guess it is meant to protect your privacy and your business. My problem is, I have non technical people that manage the account.

I just did this process, 2 things that I had issues with is, not having a
valid certificate for tomcat on JSS. I just used the JSS setup utility to
create a valid certificate. Then the other issue was when you have to
create your certificate to send to apples site make sure your identifier
starts com.apple.mgmt. if not it will not work. besides a Issue I am
having internally with blocked ports. It seems good now.
