This sounds like a great way to end the night after all the JNUC fun. plus gives me something to do since my flight out isn't till noonish on Friday.

10 people are RSVP'd so far; should be fun!
Looks like the closest theater is St. Anthony Main, which may mean cars might have to get involved as it's across the river and looks like a bit of a hike (though doable I would imagine).

Uber is pretty cheap

Uber is really cheap and 2 or 3 should cover all that have rsvp'd so far.

From the Guthrie Theater, looks like its 1.1 miles/23 min walk via Stone Arch Bridge, thats not too bad... right? Plus the bridge. https://goo.gl/PzXQw5

I'm happy to walk and get to know the place!

Well if it's not raining/snowing/whatever evil northern weather might befall us, I'm down with meeting up early outside of the Guthrie or some other fine establishment and walking as a group.
I'll keep an eye on the St. Anthony Main theater listings and once they have some times available we can plan further.

Okay, so the national release of the film isn't until October 23rd… but if we're lucky, since St. Anthony Main is a mix of standard and art-house theater, it might have it early. If not, we can try to hit another film that evening.
Stay tuned…

You can RSVP on the JNUC Mini Event Page here: https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/jnucEvent.html?eventId=150&view=info
I'm still not able to check movie times for that date, but I'll keep checking.

If it's a nice night, it's a beautiful walk. Good view of downtown Minneapolis.

So, unfortunately, it doesn't look like STEVE JOBS will be in theaters in time. Sad!
Here are the listings for St. Anthony's Maine on Thursday night:
I've heard great things about THE MARTIAN, maybe we can all go see that?
Posted on 10-06-2015 08:29 AM
the martian and Pan look to be good. I vote Martian. and if the bottle exchange goes too long for those partaking then it has a 10pm showing too
Posted on 10-06-2015 09:04 AM
Ooo yes, I've heard things about PAN as well. Looks like it's time for a poll! Or if folks want to see other things that's cool too, we can just make it a big group trip together and find somewhere to chat about the films afterwards.

Wildcard! I vote for "Grandma". Kidding. I vote Martian, but I wouldn't mind Pan.

Alright folks! Let's hit up THE MARTIAN. We'll do the 10pm showing so that people attending the Bottle Share can participate.

I can't get the online ticket ordering site to work on the the Guthrie's Wifi for some reason, but I recommend trying to buy in advance! I'm not sure how many seats the theaters hold at the St. Anthony Main Theater so plan ahead.
Find me at the JNUC for questions.

Confirmed that the following link is how to pre-purchase tickets:

Not sure why the Guthrie network blocks it.
10pm showing, The Martian. We can meet outside the Guthrie around 9pm and walk over as a group if you'd like.
Please help signal boost, thanks!

I actually may have to actually not attend my own mini-event tonight. I managed to catch some kind of sore throat cold thing and doubt being out late is going to be a good thing. Is there someone else that can be a point person for this trek over to St. Anthony for the movie?
