I was just doing a new download of MySQL and noticed that it seems to now have 32bit and 64Bit versions. The current version is 5.6.14. The previous version I was using was 5.6.10. The download I have for that is titled mysql-5.6.10-osx10.7-x86.dmg. Nothing in the titled about 32 or 64 bit. I've just downloaded both versions of 5.6.14. One is called mysql-5.6.14-osx10.7-x86.dmg and the other is mysql-5.6.14-osx10.7-x86_64.dmg. So maybe I've been using the 32bit all along ? Hasn't been a problem. I don't see anywhere in the JSS requirement or installation notes about which one to use. I'm assuming maybe I should go to the 64bit version ? Just testing 9.x installs in a test environment on a i7 Mac Mini.

No joy in going 32 bit, unless you're running on a server that doesn't do 64 bit (like 1st gen Xserve).

Thanks Don. 64 bit it will be. But it does make we wonder if I have been doing 32 bit installs by mistake with other things.
