QuickAdd Error

Not applicable

Hello, I am trying to find out some information on what would be causing QuickAdd to error on some machines when trying to install. I get this message when it fails. The system is a 2.53 core 2 Duo with 4gb running 10.6.5

The Following installation step failed: run postflight script for QuikAdd. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

Thanks,

chris MICHAEL

View the script using any text editor and examine the few lines of script
it's executing. If you walk through each step then do you see what's
working and what's not working? According to the script, it's doing this:

  1. Create the configuration file at /private/etc/jamf.conf
  2. Turn on SSH
  3. Create a new account
  4. Run Recon
  5. Enforce the Management Framework

I checked the first location /private/etc/jamf.conf and I do not see that file being created. I checked the permissions on the private folder and only the system has read/write access. The package itself does work on some systems but every once in awhile this error comes up.
