scheduled startup on MacBook not plugged in

Hello,

When I use the scheduling feature in Energy Saver settings to set a time for iMacs and MacBooks to automatically start up at 7 am, I thought that for MacBooks, the scheduled startup will only occur when it's plugged in to prevents battery drain.

But all our MacBooks (Touchbar) startup at 7 am even if lid is closed and not plugged in.

Do you know if it's normal?
Do I have no choice but to completely delete the scheduled automatic startup on MacBooks target ?

Thank you for your help

Hi.

According to Apple support, this behavior will come from the T2 chip with the 2018 MacBook Pro models.

According to Apple support, scheduled startup work even with the lid closed and the AC adapter unplugged.

It still seems strange to me.
Am I the only one with this problem?

Thanks for your help.
