Hello,

I have a weird scenario for everyone. We imaged some 30 teacher
machines about a week ago, all intel iMacs with the same config. 2
out of those are repeatedly running the scripts that are set in that
config to run after reboot. Unfortunately I'm tied to my desk today
and waiting for go ahead from the users to remote in and check out their
console logs and such so I'm trying to figure out ahead of time what can
be causing this.

The best I've come up with so far is that Casper may cache scripts to be
run after reboot locally like cached packages are stored in
/Library/Application Support/JAMF/Waiting Room. But I'm not sure on
that. Anyone else encounter anything like this before? Am I way
off? I originally thought the scripts executed from the server, and
never really dug into it. Luckily since it's the end of the year we
could just re-image them again in a few days, but I'd kind of like to
know what caused the issue for future reference.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Dustin,

The At Reboot scripts are cached locally with in the 'FirstRun' startupitem resource folder. If the FirstRun fails to get to the end at some point it won't be able to remove itself. The logs will be your guide here really.
