Hi
We push our software updates through self service for a few days before installing automatically on user's machines. We are trying to set it up so that the end users get a notification (either push notification or on the self service icon itself) but are running into issues. We don't get any notifications from self service unless self service is open; and even then it's not a push notification but an indicator on the app icon.
We have our push certificates up to date and we have a configuration profile that allows for Jamf notifications. Are we missing anything else here?

I'm not sure there is a fix for this currently - I have the same issue.
May be worth reaching out to support, but I believe this Product Issue is still active: PI-005955 deals with inconsistent notifications.
Here's a feature request to fix it: https://ideas.jamf.com/ideas/JN-I-16091
Might be worth looking into using something else like jamfHelper, installomator has a built in notification option, IBM Notifier, etc

That would make sense definitely voted on that one. Yeah we have some other notifications setup but they are pretty intrusive; appreciate the response!

Hey,
we have the same problem with the notifications. There is also another topic about Teamviewer (Re: Teamviewer intergration - self service notific... - Jamf Nation Community - 246592).
We were in touch with JAMF Support and there is also PI-010131 about this problem.

You mentioned your push certificate was kosher, but didn't mention that you also setup your push proxy. I assume you do, but it's worth checking.
