Sonoma and Apple Remote Desktop. Running Unix osascript as root at login window fails

Seems a critical piece in my Apple management arsenal has become severely hindered.  Here is a description of what I and others are dealing with:

I have worked with settings within the new “Remote Application Scripting,”  but that doesn’t seem to help.

This worked previously on machines, 13.6.1, before I upgraded them to Sonoma.

Your help in resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

Curious about this too, as I've also noticed. I wonder if this has to do with secure token or if terminal or another component needing access. Any recent luck or workaround?

No.  Even worse, 13.6.3 now reports a communication failure.  I updated one to 14.2.1 to see if they fixed it there, and it has not.  Looks like i am stuck at leaving my labs at 13.6.1 so I can install software quickly.

I have not found a solution yet. I was wondering the same. Let me know if you find anything that is helpful. Perhaps a configuration profile needs to be created that will loosen certain permissions. However, I don't know if this can still be done the sam way it was via ARD and through scripting...

we have the same problem, anyone fix't it ?

Wondering the same.... I haven't found a solution for it yet. I imagine we have to create a config profile to allow certain permissions to be adjusted for input, however, I'm not sure.

Bump...I have the same problem. Will escalate to Jamf and AppleCare Enterprise Alliance to see what they have.

Same problem here. I submitted feedback through the Remote Desktop Mac App.

I would assume if enough people submitted feedback on this issue, Apple would resolve it faster.

Any OSA updates or still a bust? 🤣
